The gai jatra festival

         This is a brief introduction of the Gai jatra festival celebrates in Bhaktapur, which usually fall in Bhadra. The gai represents Laxmi, the goddess of wealth, and guides the souls of the departed to the gates of the Netherworld.

In Hinduism, a cow is regarded as the most venerated among all the domestic animals. It is believed that the cow, revered as a holy animal by Hindus, will help the deceased relative's journey to heaven. Gaijatra is a healthy festival which enables the people to accept the reality of death and to prepare themselves for life after death. Those who have experienced the death of close ones during the past year share their sorrow and fake comfort in the fact that the gai has safely transported the departed souls on their afterlife journey. According to Hinduism, "whatever a man does in his life is a preparation leading to a good life after death".

The Muktinath

This is the small piece of introduction regarding The beautiful Muktinath Temple. Muktinath has been one such holy site, where thousands of devotees flock for attaining the much sought after freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth. Mukti means Salvation or Nirvana and Nath mean god or Master.

Muktinath is an important pilgrimage place for both Hindu & Buddhist. The famous temple of Lord Muktinath situated at Mustang in the north central part of Nepal. It is believed that one should visit this temple after completing pilgrimage of four special religious sites, chardham yatra of India; Muktinath must be visited once. In front of Muktinath temple there are two water ponds, name of laxmi and saraswoti kunda, it called also Mukti Kunda. Where holy dip is believed it can wash away negative karma, the results of one's past negative actions. Mukti dhara and shaligram as well are the main attraction of this temple.

Madness of Army

On the eve of Mangsir Purnima, a fair is organized at Kali Devi's temple in Chihandanda, Nagarkot. We regard Kali Devi as the protector of our village. There, Basu Dev Thapa, a Royal Nepal Army personnel, had an argument with the local Pipalbot gang. Soon a violent tussle ensued, and Thapa produced a knife but the boys took it from him and threw it away. Apparently, Thapa then left enraged for the nearby army barrack and returned with a loaded gun. By then the gang had fled. Suddenly we heard shots. People were screaming and running, we didn't wait to find out what had happened, we just ran with them.

Later on I came to know that 13 people were shot and 19 injured because of one soldier’s madness. I couldn't sleep that night. I don't know if I'll be alright again. So it is my request to all he Nepalese people we should live brotherhood. Make our Nepal better country to live.

Nepalese salary increased


 

Budget of Nepal



Government employees, including security personnel and teachers are happy knowing that their salary is increased through budget. Government of Nepal has raised salaries of these employees between 30.39 per cent and 42.86 per cent considering the current inflation rate. Existing dearness allowance has been adjusted to the new pay scale. The budget has offered a chance of voluntary disclosure of property to the public and the disclosed property would be treated as tax base effective from the fiscal year 2012-2013.

Finance Minister Bhart Mohan Adhikari unveiled the budget estimates of Rs. 384.90 billion that puts top emphasis on peace, constitution, social justice and infrastructure. The socialist budget has, however, ignored the private sector at the expense of cooperatives. Protection of production oriented, import substituting and export oriented industries will be given tax incentives to gear national economy towards industrialization. The government has also promised to start Health Insurance Program for the government employees.
