Gurupurnima in Nepal

Ancient Teacher and pupil
Today is Gurupurnima, it is celebrating all over the Nepal. This is the special day for those all Teachers, who are heartily remembered and worshipped for their Hard-work towards their people.
“A teacher's purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image”.
The above statement clears that how important the teacher’s role on students. A person who helps in shaping our life from our childhood days, a person who wipes our tears and makes us smile. He/She teaches us, scolds us, plays with us and helps us overcome our fears. The student in turn should treat their teachers with respect. Teachers day is a means of showing your love and affection for your teacher. Who teaches something good is really so valuable for their students. We have to show our respect to our teacher as he was the one who showed us the path which leads us for the bright future.

Cowardness of the terrorist

Three near-simultaneous IED explosions in the Indian city of Mumbai killed over 20 people and injured over 141 on Wednesday evening.

Three blasts occured during the evening rush hour in central and south districts of Mumbai at Opera House, Zaveri Bazaar and Dadar, with the blast at Opera House being the biggest of the three. Officials confirmed that IEDs were used in the attacks. The blast at Opera House was an IED planted in an umbrella while the one at Zaveri Bazaar was planted in an electric box and the bomb at Dadar was hidden in a scooter.
India had mobilized investigation and forensic teams to determine the nature and origin of the blasts. No official chose to speculate over the perpetrators of the attacks.
The Indian PM, Manmohan Singh has issued a short statement in which he has directed the Maharashtra Chief Minister to provide all possible relief to the injured and families of the deceased.
He also directed the Home Minister to provide all possible expert assistance to the state of Maharashtra. Singh urged the people of Mumbai and of the state of Maharashtra to observe calm and stand united.

Education for all

Where is Education for all?
Achieving the Education for All goals is critical for attaining all 8 MDGs—in part due to the direct impact of education on child and reproductive health, as well as the fact that EFA has created a body of experience in multi-partner collaboration toward the 2015 targets. Simultaneously, achieving the other MDGs, such as improved health, access to clean drinking water, decreased poverty, and environmental sustainability, are critical to achieving the education MDGs.

Although there has been steady progress towards achieving many EFA goals, challenges remain. Today, there are about 77 million children of school age, including 44 million girls, who are still not in school due to financial, social, or physical challenges, including high fertility rates, HIV/AIDS, and conflict.
Poor learning outcomes and low-quality education also remain overriding concerns in the education sector. For example, in many developing countries, less than 60 percent of primary school pupils who enroll in first grade reach the last grade of schooling. Additionally, pupil/teacher ratios in many countries exceed 40:1 and many primary teachers lack adequate qualifications.

Importance of Education

Education is very important for our lives. Without education people wouldn’t have their high-developed machine and would believe that the Earth is a planet around that all another planets are moving. Why people want to have their high education? As for me I have my reasons why I want to get high education.
we want to get high education is for career purpose. From the early age parents very often tell to their children that education is very important to find a good job. And this is true because if you want to be a doctor or a lower, or an engineer you must have an education. Among my friends in Russia when I was asking them why they wanted to get their high education very often they were telling me that it is necessary to get a good job and to make a good career. I agree with them because I think that it is easier to begin my career not from nothing, but with the experience and all education that I would gain in the University.

The Opportunity

Education not only provides children and families with a pathway out of poverty, but it can also yield even bigger returns for the world's poorest countries through its impact on areas such as health and the economy. Educated mothers, for example, are more likely to have smaller families, and have their children immunized and send them to school. Education can also provide families and countries with more economic opportunities and help promote the civic participation that is critical to building democracies.
Many governments have taken the first step towards harnessing the potential of education by investing more resources into the sector. Sub-Saharan African countries, for example, sent 46.5 million children to school for the first time between 1999 and 2008 after many governments used some of the billions of dollars freed up by debt cancellation to help eliminate school fees.
Lack of access to quality education is preventing millions of people from escaping the cycle of extreme poverty around the world. Most of the 67.5 million children still out of school are amongst the poorest and hardest to reach. More than half of them are girls, and most are living in countries in conflict and in rural areas. Many of the children who do enroll in school are not graduating with even the most basic reading and math skills, often because their schools do not have enough teachers, books or facilities to provide a quality education. While many countries have opened school doors for millions in recent years by eliminating school fees, other costs such as uniforms and testing still prevent children from enrolling, and many poor families need their children (especially daughters) at home to help with chores including farming or collecting water.

What is Education?

The bringing up, as of a child, instruction, formation of manners. Education comprehends all that series of instruction and discipline which is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations.

To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties. To educate our children is certainly a high calling, described as “an immense responsibility” and in another word “one of the most important duties of parents and guardians.”
  So we can say:
Education is the Series of Instruction and Discipline.
Education is the chief defense of the nation.
